The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction by Walter Benjamin.
The main understanding I took from this essay is that art is consistently political. No matter what the artists intentions are their personal beliefs will always shine through in a subtle or outspoken manner. Another takeaway is in the development of a digital artistic age it is important to not lose that in art which makes us human.
Overall, I found it to be an interesting read. It was 20 pages of philosophical artmaking, which as a concept is rather interesting.
Quite enjoyed it 10/10
